Korbous
Hot springs spilling into the sea below Cap Bon's cliffs
Korbous is a small spa village squeezed between mountains and sea on the western coast of Cap Bon, facing the Gulf of Tunis. Its thermal springs were already used by the Romans and later by the beys. The best-known spring, Aïn El Atrous, pours hot water straight over the rocks into the sea, where people bathe in the warm current. The coast road from Soliman to Korbous winds along steep cliffs with views across the gulf to Carthage and Sidi Bou Saïd. The village also has a modern thalassotherapy centre and a few seafood restaurants.
