Yasmine Hammamet

Yasmine Hammamet is a resort district built from the late 1990s about 10 km south of old Hammamet. It lines a wide sandy beach with large hotels and has a marina with cafés, restaurants and boat trips. At its centre, the Medina Mediterranea is a modern walled complex built in traditional style, with shops, eateries and a family theme park, Carthage Land. It is a practical place for an easy half-day of swimming, shopping and a seafront dinner rather than a historic site.
